The invention relates to a semiconductor light source (1) comprising a plurality of electroluminescent rods (2, 2) of submillimeter dimensions. According to the invention, at least some rods (2) are electrically connected to each other in a first assembly dedicated to an emission of a light beam at a first wavelength, and other rods (2) are electrically connected to each other in a second assembly dedicated to an emission of a light beam at a second wavelength different from the first wavelength, the first and second assemblies forming two selectively activatable emission zones.
