  "textContent": "The invention relates to a spike pin (3) which can be inserted into a spike body (2) of a spike (1) for a tread of a vehicle pneumatic tire, wherein the spike pin (3), when inserted into the spike body (2), has an outer section (3a) protruding from the latter with an upper surface, wherein at least this section (3a) has a hexagonal cross-section and its upper surface is bounded by gripping edges (5a, 5b, 5c). [0002] The spike pin is to be designed in such a way that it ensures good gripping properties when subjected to forces acting in different directions, so that a special orientation of the spikes in the tread and/or the use of spikes with differently designed pins can be avoided.
