It is proposed that, when the control system is installed, a vehicle component (8) in or along the sensor extension, in particular a trailer coupling or the like, is arranged or can be arranged, and that the distance sensor (6, 7) is designed such that it has a blind section (6a, 7a) in the area of the vehicle component (8), which has no sensitivity or, compared with the area of the distance sensor (6, 7) adjoining the blind section (6a, 7a), has reduced sensitivity.",
