METHOD FOR FORMING A NAMEPLATE OR REGISTRATION PLATE AND PLATE THUS OBTAINED

This process for producing a nameplate, identification or registration plate (1) of substantially rectangular shape comprises the following steps: - printing a plastic sheet, called main sheet (3), whose dimensions correspond substantially to those of the nameplate, identification or registration plate to be produced, said sheet (3) being constituted of a two-layer composite, consisting of an upper face and an adhesive film, the printing being carried out on the upper face of the sheet, said upper face being provided with a pre-cut (5) extending over part of its surface; - removing part of said upper face, exterior to the pre-cut; - bonding said upper face after printing and removal of the removed part, against the internal face of a rigid transparent pre-glued plate (2), whose dimensions correspond substantially to those of the nameplate or registration plate; - removing the protective film of the adhesive film of said main sheet (3); - bonding against the assembly thus produced a second sheet (4), of different color or material, and whose dimensions correspond to those of the nameplate or identification or registration plate to be produced.
