METHOD AND NAVIGATION SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING A PREDICTIVE NAVIGATION FUNCTION FOR A VEHICLE

The invention relates to a method for providing a predictive navigation function for a vehicle (1), in which a current position (22) of the vehicle (1) is detected and an intended route (20) is determined without a destination specification by a user, wherein an intention probability is determined for the intended route (20). Furthermore, traffic data are detected, which comprise disruption data about traffic disruptions and the associated position (23) of the traffic disruptions. If the intention probability exceeds an intention threshold value, it is determined from the detected traffic data whether a traffic disruption is relevant for the determined intended route (20). Depending on the position of the vehicle relative to the position (23) of the identified traffic disruption, a warning is then issued. The invention further relates to a navigation system for providing a predictive navigation function for a vehicle (1).
