Power reception device (12) includes power reception resonance circuit (LC2), power reception coil (L3), load (LD), and current limiter (SW1), and receives transmitted power in a non-contact manner. Power reception resonance circuit (LC2) includes converging magnetic flux coil (L2) for collecting magnetic fluxes of an alternating field generated in power transmission resonance circuit (LC1) including power transmission coil (L1) for transmitting power in a non-contact manner. Power reception coil (L3) is magnetically coupled to converging magnetic flux coil (L2) without being electrically connected to power reception resonance circuit (LC2). Load (LD) is electrically connected to power reception coil (L3). Current limiter (SW1) prevents a current from substantially flowing in converging magnetic flux coil (L2). According to the present aspect, in the case where power is not supplied to the load, wasteful power consumption can be reduced.
