The present invention relates to a spring control arm (1) for a motor vehicle, wherein the spring control arm (1) is manufactured as an elongated deformed hollow profile that is open in cross-section from a steel material and has connection points (4, 5) at its ends (2, 3), which is distinguished by the fact that the spring control arm (1) is arranged in its installed position with its opening (6) of the hollow profile pointing upward, wherein a spring seat plate (8) for accommodating a helical compression spring (12) is coupled to the spring control arm (1) on and/or partially in the opening (6).
