"textContent": "A transport refrigeration unit (2) for cooling a cargo space (15) of a commercial vehicle (1) is disclosed, wherein the transport refrigeration unit (2) comprises an electric motor (21) and a voltage converter device, wherein electrical energy for operating the electric motor (21) in a first operating state of the transport refrigeration unit (2) is provided by an electrical energy storage device (23) of the commercial vehicle (1), wherein electrical energy for operating the electric motor (21) and for charging the electrical energy storage device (23) in a second operating state of the transport refrigeration unit (2) is provided by an external electrical energy source (4), and wherein the voltage converter device is configured to:- in the first operating state of the transport refrigeration unit (2) convert a direct voltage provided by the electrical energy storage device (23) of the commercial vehicle (1) into a three-phase alternating voltage for operating the electric motor (21),- in the second operating state of the transport refrigeration unit (2) convert a three-phase alternating voltage provided by the external electrical energy source (4) into a direct voltage for charging the electrical energy storage device (23) and to restrict the electrical power available for charging the electrical energy storage device (23) in such a manner that the electric motor (21) receives the electrical power necessary for operating the electric motor (21).",
