The invention relates to a coupling articulation assembly (3) for a road train comprising a tractor vehicle (2) and at least one trailer (1) coupled to said tractor vehicle (2), a mechanical articulation allowing rotations along at least one axis, between a front end (5) of the trailer (1) and the tractor vehicle (2) and a damping system for damping at least the yaw movements of the trailer (1), said coupling articulation assembly (3) comprising a trailer coupling part (4) intended to be fixed to the front end (5), a tractor coupling part (6) intended to be fixed to a chassis (2a) of the tractor vehicle (2), said tractor coupling part (6) comprising the mechanical articulation and the damping system, characterized in that the mechanical articulation comprises a receptacle with an imprint in which the articulation end piece (14) is housed and retained so as to achieve an articulated mechanical connection.
