PARKING BRAKE

The present invention relates to a parking brake (10), in particular for a vehicle, comprising a brake piston (12) which is slidably mounted along a longitudinal axis (L) between a braking position and an open position, with which a brake disc (54) can be locked by applying a braking force when the brake piston (12) is in the braking position, a drive unit (18) with which the brake piston (12) is slidable along the longitudinal axis (L) between the braking position and the open position, a toggle lever device (24) cooperating with the brake piston (12), which can be actuated by means of the drive unit (18), whereby the toggle lever device (24) provides the braking force and applies it to the brake piston (12), and a support device (36) on which the toggle lever device (24) is supported for providing the braking force. Furthermore, the invention relates to a parking device (50), in particular for securing a vehicle, which has such a parking brake (10). Moreover, the invention relates to a vehicle with a corresponding parking device (50) as well as a method for securing a vehicle by means of such a parking device (50).
