The invention relates to a tailgate for a motor vehicle comprising a window (4) and a plastic interface element comprising an upper part (6), a lower part and a central part, tailgate in which the plastic interface element comprises a sealing track for a sealing gasket (2) and at least one junction member with the vehicle body, chosen from the set consisting of: a hinge; a lock; a balance strut attachment; a stop, and in which the plastic interface element (5) comprises a connection zone (11) connected to the window (4) at the edge thereof. The tailgate according to the invention is characterized in that the connection zone (11) and the window (4) are in direct and continuous contact with one another.
