LOCKABLE ARMREST

A lockable armrest (10) includes a main body (20). The lockable armrest (10) also includes a latch assembly (22) operatively coupled to the main body (20). The latch assembly (22) includes a latch coupled to the main body (20) with a spring resisting movement of the latch during acceleration events below a predetermined acceleration threshold. The latch assembly (22) also includes a locking member (28) operatively coupled to the main body (20), the latch moveable into engagement with the locking member (28) in response to an acceleration event greater than the predetermined acceleration threshold to lock the lockable armrest (10) in a stowed condition.
