Suspension unit, comprising a control unit (14) for a commercial vehicle (1), wherein the commercial vehicle has a vehicle body floor (2), to which a first (3) and a second axle (4) are connected, wherein the commercial vehicle comprises at least one vehicle seat (5) that can be sprung relative to the vehicle body floor by means of a suspension device (7) and/or a vehicle cab (6), wherein the vehicle seat and/or the vehicle cab is arranged essentially above the second axle when viewed in a height direction, wherein by means of at least one sensor (9) when running over a ground unevenness (8) with the first axle, a value of a deflection of the first axle caused by the disturbance can be determined, and wherein by means of the control unit, the suspension device of the vehicle seat and/or the vehicle cab can be changed before or when running over the disturbance with the second axle.
