Source
Use of a ball screw drive (1) with a ball return (7) as a rotary-translatory transmission for an electromechanical parking brake with an electromechanical actuator, which ball screw drive (1) comprises a ball nut (5) and a threaded spindle (3), wherein the ball nut (5) is rotatably mounted on the threaded spindle (3) and together with the threaded spindle (3) forms a helically wound ball channel (11), and which ball return (7) has at least one return channel (702) between an end of a turn (112) and a beginning of a turn (111) of the ball channel (11) in order to enable endless circulation of the balls (13), wherein the balls (13) roll within the ball channel (11) to convert a rotatory movement of the electromechanical actuator into a translatory movement for performing parking brake operations and are returned within the return channel (702).
