A structurally supported non-pneumatic tire comprising a ground contacting annular tread (200), a shear band (300) and a reinforcement layer (400) positioned radially inward of the tread (200) wherein the reinforcement layer (400) extends radially inward forming sidewalls and is formed of a strip of material wound in a geodesic pattern.
