PNEUMATIC TIRE FOR HEAVY LOAD

A heavy duty pneumatic tire which reduces tire weight while ensuring air permeation prevention performance and durability. The heavy duty pneumatic tire comprises an innerliner (7) including a laminated first liner (71) and second liner (72); a thickness of the first liner (71) being from 1.2 to 1.9 mm; a thickness of the second liner (72) being from 1.2 to 1.6 mm; a total thickness of the first and second liners (71,(72) being from 2.4 to 3.4 mm; the first and second liners (71 72) being made of rubber compositions 1 and 2; the first rubber composition 1 containing from 5 to 50 parts by weight of a plate-like inorganic filler having a particle size of from 4.9 to 7.5 µm and an aspect ratio (Ar) of from 3.0 to 7.0 per 100 parts by weight of a diene rubber containing from 50 to 100 wt.% of a butyl rubber; and the second rubber composition 2 containing from 0.05 to 0.5 parts by weight of an organic metal salt as metal content per 100 parts by weight of a diene rubber containing not less than 50 wt.% of a natural rubber.
