Described and illustrated is a throttle valve housing (1) for a throttle valve assembly for an internal combustion engine, wherein the throttle valve housing (1) serves to accommodate a pivotally mounted throttle valve and forms the movement space for the throttle valve, wherein the throttle valve housing (1) has an inflow opening (2) on a first side for receiving a fluid and the throttle valve housing (1) has an outflow opening (3) on a second side for discharging a fluid, and wherein in the movement space of the throttle valve housing (1) at least one sealing ridge (4) protruding into the flow cross-section is arranged, which serves the throttle valve in the closed position as a stop. A throttle valve housing (1) with improved sealing properties is achieved in that the sealing ridge (4) is formed without chip removal in the wall of the throttle valve housing (1).
