The invention relates to a pneumatic control valve (1), in particular a dual-circuit brake pressure generator in a compressed air brake system of a vehicle for regulating a brake pressure corresponding to a desired braking effect. The control valve (1) has a housing (2) with an upper housing region (2a), a middle housing region (2c) and a lower housing region (2b). In the cylindrical space (17) formed by the upper housing region (2a), a spring package (4) with two coaxially arranged pressure springs (4a, 4b) is arranged between a plunger piston (9) and a first valve piston (3). In the middle housing region (2c), a first valve system (10) with a first plate valve is arranged and in the lower housing region (2b), a second valve system (29) with a second plate valve (37) is arranged. At the end of the control valve (1) remote from the plunger piston, a silencer (46) is attached. According to the invention, it is provided that the housing (2; 2a, 2b, 2c) is manufactured in one piece and of uniform material, that the upper housing region (2a) is closed by a housing cover (6) and the lower housing region (2b) is closed by a closure element (54), and that at least the closure element (54) with a sealing seat carrier (52) and the second plate valve (37) arranged therebetween are assembled into a pre-assembled assembly unit (37, 52, 54) that can be inserted into the space (49) in the lower housing region (2b).
