The present disclosure relates to a pre-chamber body (26) for an internal combustion engine (1). The pre-chamber body (26) comprises a pre-chamber (34), and a flow transfer passage (40) fluidly connecting the pre-chamber (34) and an exterior of the pre-chamber body (26). The pre-chamber body (26) further comprises at least one backflow channel (52; 60) fluidly connecting the pre-chamber (34) and the flow transfer passage (40). The at least one backflow channel (52; 60) helps to homogenize an air-fuel ratio distribution in the pre-chamber (34) and the flow transfer passage (40).
