The invention relates to a drying device of a battery, in particular a lithium-ion battery, with a housing (7) in which a desiccant (9) for absorption of moisture is accommodated, and the housing (7) has a first connection (12) configured for a fluid-conducting connection with the battery (2) and a second connection (13) configured for an outflow of fluid into the surroundings (5) of the housing (7), wherein the drying device (1) furthermore has a first valve element (14) configured for a fluid-tight closing or opening of the first connection (12) and a second valve element (15) configured for a fluid-tight closing or opening of the second connection (13).
