The subject matter of the invention is a device for securing cargo (1) on a loading surface (2). This is equipped with a securing net (6, 7) made of crossing straps (6, 7), furthermore with impact devices (9) arranged on both edge sides of the securing net (6, 7) for releasable engagement in openings (Ö) of substantially opposite side walls (3), and with at least one length-adjustable tensioning strap (10, 11, 12) with strap loop (10, 12) and tensioning device (11). According to the invention, the strap loop (10, 11) is connected to the securing net (6, 7) on the surface side. In this way, the securing net (6, 7) can be tensioned while adapting to different clear widths (W) between the side walls (3).
