FIRMING WHEEL FOR SEEDER

A seed-pressing roller (10) for use in an agricultural seeding machine and/or single-grain machine is disclosed, comprising seed furrow-drawing coulters and seed-pressing rollers (10) arranged beside and/or behind the coulters and rotatably mounted, wherein the seed-pressing rollers (10) consist of a rim (18) and a tire-like element (12) made of an elastic material mounted thereon, wherein the tire-like element (12) consists of at least one circumferential cavity (14) with at least two mutually spaced side walls (24) and at least one transverse web forming a running surface (22), wherein the side walls (24) bow outward when pressure is applied to the running surface (22) of the tire-like element (12), in order to create an improved seed-pressing roller (10), to the cavity (14) of the tire-like element (12) an additional core element (20) is assigned, which defines the pretensioning force of the running surface (22) of the tire-like element (12).
