VALVE OPENING AND CLOSING TIMING CONTROL DEVICE

A valve opening and closing timing control device (A) includes: a driving-side rotating body (20) synchronously rotated with a crankshaft (1) of an engine (E) and having a lid member (22) fixed in a direction of the rotational axis; a driven-side rotating body (30) integrally rotated with a camshaft (5) for opening and closing a valve (5V) on the same rotational axis; a lock mechanism (L) having a lock member (25) moving in the direction and a lock recessed portion (28) formed inside the lid member and into which the lock member is able to be fitted; and a torsion spring (46) disposed outside the lid member and exerting a biasing force to the driving-side and driven-side rotating bodies, wherein a restricting projection portion (22A) for restricting a movement of the torsion spring in the direction is formed in the lid member.
