DEVICE FOR MEASURING RELATIVE HEIGHTS
DRIVE
February 15, 2023
The invention relates to a device for determining relative heights between two points, comprising a connection hose filled with a liquid and having two opposing ends, a first and a second pressure sensor arranged at the opposing ends of the connection hose, wherein the pressure sensors are connected to one another via the liquid and the liquid is sealed gas-tight against the outside by the connection hose, and wherein the first pressure sensor is configured to measure the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid at one end of the connection hose in the liquid and the second pressure sensor is configured to measure the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid at the other end of the connection hose opposing the one end in the liquid, and a processor which is configured to determine a relative height between a first reference point having a fixed positional relation to the first pressure sensor and a second reference point having a fixed positional relation to the second pressure sensor based on the hydrostatic pressures measured by the first and second pressure sensors, wherein the measured hydrostatic pressures are assignable to a same common measurement time point and the determination of the relative height is carried out based thereon.
