SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING RESISTANCE VALUE

A vehicle electrical system has a vehicle low-voltage electrical circuit having a low-voltage energy storage unit connected to a first low-voltage load via a battery contactor and a first section of a vehicle DC supply cable harness, a cable resistance measurement arrangement having a dedicated electrical power storage and a switching arrangement configured for selective connection of the dedicated electrical power storage with the first section of a vehicle DC supply cable harness; and an electrical control system configured for controlling operation of the switching arrangement and the battery contactor. The electric control system performs a resistance measurement of the first section of the vehicle DC supply cable harness by: setting the battery contactor in open state for interrupting electrical power supply from the low-voltage energy storage unit to the first low-voltage load.
