Disclosed is a coil positioning device for a wireless charging system. The coil positioning device comprises a supporting element configured to support an energy transfer coil as well as a guiding mechanism including a lower linear guide and an upper linear guide arranged above each other and having guiding functions in directions which are perpendicular to each other. The supporting element is slidingly engaged with both linear guides. The upper linear guide comprises an elongate opening and the supporting element is partially accommodated in the elongate opening.
