An electronically commutated electric motor according to the invention is notably used in an air propulsion device and in a heating, ventilation and/or air conditioning installation of a motor vehicle. The motor comprises a rotor (16) and a stator (14). The stator is mounted on a support means (10) arranged projecting from a metal plate (12) and electrically connected to an electrical ground. And a screen (34) is disposed between the rotor and the stator, said screen being also electrically connected to the electrical ground.
