The present disclosure relates to a battery module including: a plurality of battery cells; a module case configured to store the plurality of battery cells and having a plurality of venting holes formed on one side thereof; and a barrier member provided inside the module case and configured to partition the plurality of battery cells into a plurality of cell groups and to communicate each of the plurality of cell groups with the venting hole corresponding thereto.
