  "textContent": "The invention relates to a method for operating a device for air conditioning a rail vehicle. The invention provides an improved device for air conditioning, wherein in particular a reliable provision of a conditioning air stream is to be ensured. For this purpose, a method is provided wherein the device comprises a device for air flow passage. In the device, a filter device (5) is provided, wherein this can be arranged directly at the inlet of the channel (2). Following the filter device is a heat exchanger device (6) for influencing a temperature of the air present in the channel. By means of a fan (7), air is moved from the inlet to the outlet through the channel. The air stream is conveyed in the direction of the outlet through the channel, wherein a measuring device (8) for measurement to determine the mass or volume flow is arranged upstream to the outlet in the channel. First, a target mass or volume flow in the device is specified. In a further step, the actual mass or volume flow of the air stream through the channel of the device is measured and compared with the target value. According to the difference between target mass or volume flow and actual mass or volume flow, in a next step the speed of the fan is adjusted such that the existing actual mass or volume flow approaches the target value and compensates for a reduction due to filter contamination.",
