INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

An internal combustion engine is provided with: an internal combustion engine main body; an intake passage; an exhaust passage; a supercharger provided on the intake passage and the exhaust passage, the supercharger supplying compressed intake air to the internal combustion engine main body; an intake circulation passage connecting the sections of the intake passage that are upstream and downstream of the supercharger; an exhaust circulation passage connecting sections of the exhaust passage that are upstream and downstream of the supercharger; an intake circulation valve provided in the intake circulation passage; an exhaust circulation valve provided in the exhaust circulation passage; and a controller for closing the exhaust circulation valve in accordance with the opening degree of the intake circulation valve.
