ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING SUCH A SYSTEM

The invention relates to an electrical system comprising a DC voltage bus, at least one electrical energy supply arrangement or system and a power source is disclosed. The electrical energy supply arrangement is configured for supplying a DC voltage to the DC voltage bus. The power source is connected to the DC voltage bus and arranged for supplying power over the DC voltage bus to the electrical energy supply arrangement. The DC voltage bus is arranged for transporting the supplied DC voltage of the electrical energy supply arrangement. The electrical energy supply arrangement is configured for receiving power from the power source over the DC voltage bus and for supplying the DC voltage to the DC voltage bus only during receiving the power from the power source over the DC voltage bus.
