A method of operating an aircraft engine (10, 100) of an aircraft, the aircraft engine (10, 100) having a common-rail fuel injection system (102) for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber (32) of the aircraft engine (10, 100), including: pressurizing fuel for circulation through the common-rail injection system (102); circulating a portion of the pressurized fuel through a motive flow inlet (116a) of an ejector pump (116); and entraining a flow through the ejector pump (116) with the portion of the pressurized fuel circulating through the motive flow inlet (116a).
