The present invention relates to a rotating electrical machine (10) comprising a front pole wheel (230), a rear pole wheel (205) and a shaft (100) comprising four sections (110, 115, 120, 125), of respective diameters (D1, D2, D3, D4), distributed axially, characterized in that: - the first section (110) comprises a knurling (130) configured to ensure radial retention between the shaft (100) and the front pole wheel (230), - the second section (115) is configured to allow indexing and centering of the front and rear pole wheels (230, 205), - the third section (120) comprises a knurling (135) configured to ensure radial retention between the shaft (100) and the rear pole wheel (205), and - the fourth section (125) comprises a flange (140) configured to ensure axial retention between the shaft (100) and at least one pole wheel (205, 230), and in that the diameters (D1, D2, D3, D4) of the shaft (100) respect the following relationship: D1 < D2 < D3 < D4
