SLIDING DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE SEAT PROVIDED WITH AN IMPROVED RELEASING ASSEMBLY

The present invention relates to a sliding device for a vehicle seat provided with an improved releasing assembly. Said sliding device comprises a pair of locking assemblies (), one for each track of the sliding device, each including a plurality of locking pins () suitable for locking the upper rails of the tracks to the respective lower rails. Said sliding device further includes a releasing assembly for driving said locking pins to an unlocking configuration for adjusting the position of the vehicle seat. According to the invention, such releasing assembly () comprises a releasing member () comprising a pair of substantially parallel arms () pivotally connected to respective tracks, a crossbar () extending transversely to said tracks and provided at each end with an engaging assembly for engaging the locking pins () of the respective locking assembly () and a pair of connecting members (), which are configured to convert a rotational movement of the end portion of said releasing member arms into a translational movement of the crossbar.
