The controller identifies whether the preceding vehicle is cutting out of a traveling lane according to movement of the preceding vehicle during the ACC, identify whether another lane to which the preceding vehicle is cutting in is a lane allowing the preceding vehicle to cut in in response to the preceding vehicle being cutting out of the traveling lane, and shorten the target inter-vehicle distance of the ACC in response to the another lane to which the preceding vehicle is cutting in being the lane allowing the preceding vehicle to cut in.",
