Disclosed is an agricultural work machine, in particular a tractor with an engine, a transmission drivable by the engine, a power take-off shaft drivable by the transmission for driving an attached implement, a control device for controlling a rotational speed (3) and/or a torque of the power take-off shaft, wherein in an attached state of the attached implement at least one device-specific parameter of the attached implement can be determined by means of the control device through rotation of a drive shaft of the attached implement and the rotational speed (3) and/or the torque of the power take-off shaft can be controlled as a function of the at least one determined device-specific parameter. Also disclosed is a method for starting the attached implement of such a work machine.
