The invention relates to a flap with an unlocking device arranged thereon. The flap can be, for example, a motor vehicle fuel tank cap or a glove compartment flap. The flap has a hinge device to enable the flap to move relative to a carrier, for example a motor vehicle, between a closed and an open position, wherein in a closed position an opening is at least partially covered. Furthermore, the flap has an unlocking device with an actuator that comprises a shape memory material, wherein the unlocking device has a movable securing part that can be moved by means of the actuator between at least one locked position and at least one unlocked position. The flap can be moved between the open and the closed position in the unlocked position. In the locked position, the securing part is engaged with a holding element, which is fixedly arranged relative to the carrier, in such a manner that the flap cannot be moved from the closed position to the open position.
