OPENING/CLOSING BODY DRIVE MECHANISM

An opening/closing body drive mechanism comprises an opening/closing body to move between an open position and a closed position; a drive unit to drive the opening/closing body ; a detecting unit to detect the movement state of the opening/closing body ; and a control unit to control driving for the opening/closing body based on an output of the detecting unit , wherein the control unit carries out a feedback control to control the driving such that a physical value being detected with the detecting unit is brought to be a target value; and in a case that the information from the detecting unit differs from predetermined information according to the feedback control and a control value given to the drive unit exceeds a predetermined threshold value, determines that information from the detecting unit is abnormal.
