ADJUSTABLE MOUNT FOR AN EXHAUST SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING A MOUNT FOR AN EXHAUST SYSTEM

A bracket (100) for an exhaust system comprises a carrier (110) attachable to a component of the exhaust system (200) or an underbody of a vehicle, and a fastening pin (120) carried by the carrier (110). The carrier (110) comprises a first plate (111) and a second plate (112) spaced apart from the first plate (111). The first plate (111) and the second plate (112) each comprise a fastening section (113, 114) for attaching the carrier (110) to a component of the exhaust system (200) or an underbody of a vehicle. The first plate (111) and the second plate (112) each comprise an opening (115, 116). The fastening pin (120) comprises a first section (121) which is designed to pass through an exhaust rubber mount (300). Furthermore, the fastening pin (120) comprises a second section (122), in which it penetrates the openings (115, 116) in the first and second plates (111, 112) of the carrier (110). The openings (115, 116) in the first and second plates (111, 112) of the carrier (110) have a diameter (D 115 , D 116 ) which is at least 10 % larger than a diameter (D 120 ) of the fastening pin (120) in the region in which it penetrates the respective opening (115, 116).
