The invention relates to a computed tomography apparatus comprising - an X-ray system and an intermediate circuit based on direct current, wherein the X-ray system is designed to draw a resulting power from the intermediate circuit, - a first path designed to draw a power of the first path from a low-voltage network and to feed the power of the first path into the intermediate circuit, wherein the first path comprises a rectifier for connecting the intermediate circuit to the low-voltage network, - a second path designed to draw electrical energy from the low-voltage network and to feed a power of the second path into the intermediate circuit based on the electrical energy, in order to compensate for a difference between the resulting power and the power of the first path by means of the power of the second path, wherein the second path comprises an energy storage device for storing the energy, which is based on an electrical capacitance and/or on an electrochemical pseudocapacitance, an input module for connecting the energy storage device to the low-voltage network and an output module for connecting the energy storage device to the intermediate circuit.
