The invention relates to a tensionable emergency run-in insert for a motor vehicle wheel, with circular ring segment-shaped part elements that are either articulately connected to one another or can be tensioned together via a tensioning system. In order to provide a way in which the ingress of dirt is prevented independently of the air pressure in the tire, the cross-section of the part elements on the tire side is to be configured in a T-shape, wherein the crossbar of the T-shaped configuration serves as a running surface for the tire in the event of a tire defect and the cross-section of the part elements on the rim side is configured approximately T-shaped with two lateral endpoints, wherein the crossbar of the T-shaped configuration serves for assembly on the rim bed and rests on it in the assembled state, wherein the tire-side T-shaped configuration and the rim-side T-shaped configuration are connected to one another, in particular via a radially extending web, wherein the lateral endpoints of the crossbar of the rim-side T-shaped configuration can be displaced toward one another via at least one elastically configured partial region provided between the two endpoints of the crossbar against a restoring force.
