CLADDING COMPONENT FOR A VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR SECURING AND ALIGNING A SENSOR MOUNTING GROOVE ON A CLADDING COMPONENT

The present invention relates to a trim component for a vehicle, comprising one or more through-openings (22), one or more sensor receptacles (24) for receiving a sensor (26), which are arranged at least partially spaced from the trim component (12) in the region of one of the through-openings (22) while forming a free space (42), and a filling and fastening means (41) for filling the free space (42) between the trim component (12) and the sensor receptacle (24), for aligning the sensor receptacle (24) with respect to the trim component (12) as well as for fastening the sensor receptacle (24) to the trim component (12). Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for fastening and aligning a sensor (26) and/or a sensor receptacle (24) on a trim component (12) of a vehicle.
