A display control device includes an input unit receiving a recognition result of a surrounding situation of a vehicle; and control circuitry controlling an image generating device such that a predetermined image indicating a presentation image at the time of being displayed on a display medium transmitting light is generated in a case in which a predetermined target is recognized in the vicinity of the vehicle. The control circuitry senses, on the basis of the recognition result, that a color of a foreground of the vehicle on which the first presentation image is superimposed in the display medium is changed from a first color to a second color. Then, the controller generates a second predetermined image indicating a second presentation image by using the image generating device when the second color satisfies a predetermined condition with respect to a third color of at least a part of an outer peripheral region in the first presentation image. The second presentation image includes at least a region other than the outer peripheral region in the first presentation image, and a color of at least a part of an outer peripheral region in the second presentation image is a fourth color different from the third color.
