A centering piece (30) for a wheel bearing (10) comprises an annular shrink-fit zone (48) comprising a shrink-fit cylindrical seat (50) facing radially outward and defining a reference axis, at least one first centering zone (52) comprising a first cylindrical centering seat (44) facing radially outward, and an annular transition zone (54) extending from the annular shrink-fit zone (48) to the first centering zone (52). The centering piece (30) has an outer surface (58) facing radially outward including the shrink-fit cylindrical seat (50), the first centering seat (44) and an outer face (60) of the annular transition zone (54), and an inner surface (62) facing radially inward and delimiting a cavity (64) within the outer surface (58). The centering piece (30) has a radial thickness, measured between the outer surface (58) and the inner surface (62), which varies along the reference axis, passing through a minimum value (D) at the level of the annular transition zone (54), the minimum value (D) being less than half of a radial thickness (C) measured at the level of the annular shrink-fit zone (48) and less than half of a radial thickness (E) measured at the level of the first centering zone (52).
