The present invention relates to a method, a computer program with instructions, and a device for predicting a road course on the basis of radar data, in particular radar data from a radar sensor of a motor vehicle. In a first step (S1), the radar data to be processed is received, which is then accumulated in a measurement grid (S2). Subsequently, clusters for objects in the measurement grid are formed (S3). In addition, cluster descriptions for the clusters are generated (S4). The resulting clusters are processed (S5) in order to determine polynomials for describing the road edges. The polynomials are finally output (S6) for further use.
