The invention relates to a device for driving a fan of a drive unit (10) of a motor vehicle, in particular a commercial vehicle, comprising a bearing device (36) by means of which the fan can be provided coaxially to and rotatably relative to the crankshaft of an internal combustion engine of the drive unit (10), and a first belt drive (12) by means of which the fan can be driven with a gear ratio towards higher speeds, having a first belt pulley (18) and a second belt pulley (20) which are in a drive connection via a first belt (13), wherein the first belt pulley (18) is arranged on the first bearing device, wherein the second belt pulley (20) is arranged coaxially to a drive shaft of a compressed air compressor (16) and is speed-coupled to it.
