  "textContent": "A seal device made by combining a seal ring mounted in a mounting groove having a rectangular cross section, a first backup ring, and a second backup ring, wherein there are fewer defects caused by interference with the backup rings having triangular cross sections. To achieve this purpose, the first backup ring is formed into a triangular shape in cross section, and is provided with an end surface part having an axially perpendicular flat surface shape in contact with a side surface part of the mounting groove, a peripheral surface part having a cylindrical surface shape in contact with another member, and an inclined surface part intersecting the end surface part and the peripheral surface part. The second backup ring is formed into a triangular shape in cross section, and is provided with an end surface part having an axially perpendicular flat surface shape with which the seal ring is in contact, a peripheral surface part having a cylindrical surface shape in contact with a bottom surface part of the mounting groove, and an inclined surface part provided in correspondence to the inclined surface part of the first backup ring. A cut part is provided in the corner where the end surface part and the inclined surface part intersect in the first backup ring, and a cut part is also provided in the corner where the peripheral surface part and the inclined surface part intersect in the second backup ring.",
