The present invention relates to a hub (1) for a cycle wheel (40), the hub comprising a hub body (5) configured to rotate around an axis XX and shaped to receive at least two sets (100, 200) of spokes arranged on either side of a median plane Y0Z of the hub (1) perpendicular to the axis XX and intended to ensure mechanical connection between the hub (1) and a rim (30) of the wheel (40), the hub body (5) comprising at least one flange (2) comprising first and second sets of housings (11a, 11b), in which each housing (11a, 11b): - defines a seat (14a, 14b) shaped to retain the head (111a, 111b) of the spoke (110a, 110b) in a direction tangential to said axis XX; - comprises an opening (15a, 15b) communicating with the seat and opening out in an axial direction parallel to said axis XX; characterized in that: - the openings (15a) of the first set (11a) of housings are oriented facing the median plane Y0Z and the openings (15b) of the second set of housings (11b) are oriented in a direction opposite to that of the median plane Y0Z. The present invention also relates to a wheel and a cycle equipped with such a hub.
