The mobile terminal includes a display unit configured to display a graphic object indicating information about a route between a source and a destination and a control unit configured to detect information about at least one recommended section corresponding to at least one of a plurality of sections included in the route information and display a graphic object indicating the route information and a graphic object indicating the detected recommended section information together in a visually distinct manner. The recommended section information is route information indicating a route through which at least one external terminal has traveled.
