POWERTRAIN FOR AUTO-TRACTION AND ROAD MOTOR VEHICLE PROVIDED WITH SUCH POWERTRAIN

A powertrain for auto-traction includes an electric drive unit comprising: an engine-block with a rigid structure; a drive shaft at least partially housed within the engine-block with the capability of rotating about its longitudinal/central axis; a series of rotating electric motors oriented transversally to the drive shaft and arranged adjacent to each other within accommodating seats made in the engine-block next to the drive shaft, forming at least one row of electric motors; and a gear train housed within the engine-block and structured to mechanically connect the electric motors to one another and to the drive shaft, allowing the electric motors to jointly drive the drive shaft into rotation.
